The conjunctival extracellular matrix, related disorders and development of substrates for conjunctival restoration

چکیده
The conjunctiva can be damaged by numerous diseases with scarring, loss of tissue and dysfunction. Depending on extent damage, restoration function may require a conjunctival graft. A wide variety biological synthetic substrates have been tested in the search for optimal conditions ex vivo culture epithelial cells as route toward grafts. Each substrate has specific advantages but also disadvantages related to their unique physical characteristics, identification development an improved remains priority. To achieve goal mimicking restoring material, requires information from material. Specifically, extracellular matrix (ECM) derived tissue. Knowledge composition structure native ECM identifying contributions individual components its would enable using or those develop substrates. is comprised two components: basement membrane secreted predominantly containing laminins type IV collagens, which directly support goblet cell adhesion differentiation growth and, interstitial fibroblasts lamina propria, provides mechanical structural support. This review presents current knowledge anatomy, disorders. Requirements potential engineering transplantation are discussed. Biological described accompanying review.

Transplantation of the allogeneic conjunctiva and conjunctival extracellular matrix.
OBJECTIVES To investigate the characteristics and effects of allogenic conjunctiva and conjunctival extracellular matrix (ECM) as the substitute of conjunctival tissues. BACKGROUND The symptoms of the frequently-occurring conjunctival injury not only make people ugly, but also lead to blindness, which seriously endanger the quality of life of the patients. METHODS The bulbar conjunctivas of...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
15 صفحه اولUnilateral Conjunctival-Corneal Argyrosis Simulating Conjunctival Melanoma
clinically misdiagnosed as choroidal melanoma. Currently, most subretinal tumors assumed to be choroidal melanomas are treated with radiotherapy without histological confirmation. The diagnosis of an RPE carcinoma may therefore be missed. Finger et al described a darkly pigmented subretinal tumor accompanied by inflammation that was suspected of being an adenocarcinoma of the RPE. In several pu...

Purpose We fabricated and investigated polymeric scaffolds that can substitute for the conjunctival extracellular matrix to provide a substrate for autologous expansion of human conjunctival goblet cells in culture. Methods We fabricated two hydrogels and two silk films: (1) recombinant human collagen (RHC) hydrogel, (2) recombinant human collagen 2-methacryloylxyethyl phosphorylcholine (RHC-...
